The site

topoman.net is informational. The content is written carefully and corrected when an error is found, but it does not replace a specific consultation: what applies to your case depends on your case.

The texts, screenshots and design belong to Ronald Mancía, except for the trademarks and the screens of third-party programs, which belong to their owners. You may link to them and quote them; copying them as your own, no.

The software

TopoMan CAD and the TopoMan plugin for AutoCAD install and run without paying and with no expiry date. What the license unlocks is detailed on the licenses page, and that is what governs.

The subscription is linked to each device with your email and a code. If you change device, you release it from the program and link the new one.

• The program is provided as it is, with the features the site describes and that you can verify before paying: that is what the full-program trial is for.
• Always check your work. A drawing you deliver is your professional responsibility, not the program.
• Reselling, redistributing or sharing the license file is not permitted.

TopoMan WCE and third-party programs

TopoMan WCE is an Android app that runs third-party programs made for Windows Mobile. It does not include or distribute any of them, or licenses to use them. Installing it costs nothing, but without an active subscription it does not open the programs. What is said above about the demo does not apply to it.

FieldGenius, SurvCE, Survey Pro, Windows Mobile and the other trademarks named on this site belong to their respective owners. TopoMan WCE is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

• You provide the installer of your program and must have the right to use it. Complying with its license is your responsibility, including whatever it says about the device or system it may be used on.
• The TopoMan WCE subscription gives no rights over those programs and does not replace their licenses. Whether a maker grants its license for your device is its decision.
• There is no guarantee that a particular program, version or instrument will work: the TopoMan WCE page says what has been tested. The makers do not support their program running in this app.
• Using the app to bypass the license or protection of a third-party program is not allowed.
• Always check your measurements: the field data you deliver is your professional responsibility.

The surveying work

Every job is agreed before starting: what is measured, what is delivered, in how long and for how much. What is agreed in writing governs over anything this page says.

• Measurement services are provided in El Salvador.
• Working requires access to the land, and whatever information each case calls for: deed, earlier drawing, names of adjoining owners.
• Timing depends on the land, the access and third parties (an office processing a filing does not depend on me) and is stated when the job is agreed.
• Work is delivered with the precision proper to the equipment and method used, which is stated in each case.

What I cannot guarantee

• That the site is available without interruption: it depends on providers I do not control.
• The outcome of a filing before a third party. I deliver correct technical work; what the institution decides is not in my hands.
• That a file opened in another program looks identical. What is measured, and stated on the TopoMan CAD page, is that what the program writes opens in AutoCAD without errors.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of El Salvador.

Changes

If they change, this page is updated with the date above. A change does not affect work already agreed or a license already sold.
