Not a compatibility promise: a measurement. Seventeen real drawings, saved in all six DWG versions and audited with AutoCAD twice each. All 204 openings come back with zero errors, and all 204 carry their preview inside.

Surveying, in the ribbon and not in an add-on

From the point file your total station produces to the drawing with its bearing-and-distance table, without leaving the program.
